Halis Çeven: The boss of the team and the man who made his family love this profession, was born in 1953 on the Kanikork plateau, located 3000 meters from Ararat Mountain. Halis, who made his first climb to Mount Ararat in 1970 at the age of 18, is one of the first licensed mountain guides of the Turkish Mountaineering Federation. He is known as a legendary mountain climber in the Ararat region. He is highly respected in Ararat and has been a guide in Ararat for about 50 years. He has 536 peaks. Although the legendary mountaineer did this job in very difficult conditions with rubber shoes in the early years, he is very happy that his children enjoy doing this job today.
